Welcome to Waste Remedies

Does Waste Remedies pick up my garbage?

No, Waste Remedies is a consulting firm who helps our partners/clients lower their waste and recycling costs.

My garbage has not been picked up today. What should I do?

Contact your trash provider to see what the issue is. They may have changed your routes or your pick up days may have changed.

My trash service has been suspended. Can you help?

Waste Remedies can work with our partners and their haulers to have service reinstated. In most cases the hauler will want payment in full via credit card or overnight check. Once the detailed information has been provided to them the service will be re-instated.

There is a holiday this week. Will my pick-ups still go on schedule?

In most cases services will be delayed by one day during the following holidays: Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Years Day. You may contact your hauler for specific information on holiday pick-ups.

I've received my hauler invoice and the amount approved for payment doesn't equal the amount of the current charges. Is this correct?

In 99% of cases, the answer is yes, but we are human and we do make mistakes. Contact our billing office at ap-iowa@wasteremedies.com if you have concerns.

Can I receive my invoices directly instead of them going to Waste Remedies first?

Having invoices come to Waste Remedies first lets us ensure that you are being billed the correct amount. If there are billing issues, we will work with the hauler directly to get them resolved.

Why doesn't my hauler amount due equal the same amount on the approval stamp?

We audit and approve current invoice charges. We don't analyze the total amount due because in most cases we have already approved those charges in the months prior. You can verify the past due amount with what has been paid. The checks could have easily crossed in the mail.

My hauler account number has changed. Why did this happen?

Waste Remedies does not change account numbers, haulers do. This happens in most cases when districts merge, ownership changes or during system conversions.

Waste Remedies approved the exact amount of my hauler invoice. How are you saving me money?

Waste Remedies negotiates new rates and services to be effective on a certain date. It is in our properties' best interest for the price to go to into effect on the correct date. (This saves headaches from dealing with over charges and getting credits etc) Your previous costs are agreed upon before the new services and/or rates go into effect.

I called my trash company and they state that my compactor is on call, but it is supposed to be hauled every 2 wks. Is this the case?

Through our new auto-scheduling program, we have been able to relieve several customers of the hassle of calling in their compactor hauls. This saves them money and reduces the administrative responsibilities.
